This event is the first of its kind for 4 & Rotary Promotions due to the postponing of the South Island Champs. This is a combined event with both a Show & Shine and Drag Racing. The outdoor Show & Shine will be judged, with trophies and great prizes up for grabs for each winning category. These categories will be finalised soon and be posted up before the event here.
As well as the Hard Park, you will also have the opportunity to watch or enter your car in the Pegasus Bay Drag Racing Competition Meeting. Entries for this can be found using the link on the left menu. For street cars they must have current WOF and Registration or else be teched by an approved inspector.
All competitor entries will be taken on the day, with competitors arriving no later than 9 am. Gates to the general public will also open at 9 am, with a $20 entry fee on the gate.
Please note, the Show & Shine is run by 4 & Rotary, while the Drag Racing is run by Pegasus Bay Drag Racing Club.
Cost to Drag race for Streetcars is just $35.00. Please go to the shed in the middle of the pits near the entrance where you can enter your car and if needed ask for help. ALL CLASSES WELCOME.
Recent Meeting ~

Come
and enjoy the excitement of Drag Racing either by watching
or participating. We encourage new drivers and there are
plenty of people to help you if you need information. Ample
free parking for spectators. Generally if you are wanting to
drive your street car in a meeting then its a matter of
coming along to the track a bit earlier than the spectators
and as long as you have some basic safety eg. long sleeves,
long pants, helmet, wof and registration then you can race
after getting a check from our staff and filling in an entry
form.PBDRC are always open to hear from anyone who wishes to race, this includes circuit racers as well
If you are bringing your children then you may want to include some ear protection as some of the cars can be loud for young ears. Animals, alcohol or smoking are not permitted in the pit area however you are welcome to browse the cars and talk to the drivers during the events. Be aware that some cars may have limited visibility in this area and it always up to you to give way to the cars. There are drinks and food available at the food caravan during all meetings.

Hard Park
Due to the devastating earthquakes that struck Christchurch last year and in February this year, 4 and
Rotary Promotions
regrets to announce that because of the damage sustained to
the TSB Arena we have had to postpone the 2012 South Island
Champs event.
However, we have in no way ruled out an event being held in
the South Island and are currently holding discussions with
numerous venues in the area. We'll be announcing the results
of these talks in the near future, and our thoughts are with
everyone affected by the earthquake and involved in the
re-building efforts.
